The Campaign Coordinator advances Denver Zoo’s mission and goals through active involvement in the “Into the Great Wild Open” comprehensive fundraising campaign. This campaign is designed to boost philanthropic support for Denver Zoo. Working collaboratively with the Campaign Director, this position focuses on improving and optimizing detailed communication related to key campaign projects. The Campaign Coordinator provides essential support to the Campaign Director and the frontline fundraising team within the Philanthropy department. Responsibilities include administrative support, managing constituent data, preparing reports and acknowledgements, overseeing donor signage, and conducting prospect research.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Priority 1 – Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Philanthropy Team including data management, prospect and donor research, gift acknowledgements, donor CRM analytics, and general administrative duties.
- Support the Campaign Director with activities related to the Into the Great Wild Open campaign including data management, stewardship support, grants administration, and Campaign Committee meetings and events.
- Support the Grants Manager by managing the grants folder, proposal collateral, reporting calendar, and communications with relevant Zoo staff on specific grants.
Priority 2 – Data Management
- Oversee donor recognition records and physical donor recognition signage on Zoo campus. Maintain accurate data and coordinate closely with Signage Manager to maintain and develop new donor recognition signage as need.
Priority 3 – Prospect and Donor Research
- Oversee the department’s wealth screening vendor relationships (Donor Search, etc.) and support the Philanthropy team with donor research, prospect profiles, wealth screenings, preparation of lists, segmentations, e-communications data file preparation, and data cleanup projects as requested.
Other Responsibilities and Duties
- Other assistance, as designated by the Campaign Director, to support the overall goals of the department and organization. Denver Zoo retains the right to add or change duties and/or responsibilities at any time.
- Acts as a good steward of Denver Zoo’s resources.
- The nature of this position requires safeguarding against the release of confidential and proprietary information of Denver Zoo.
- This position will interact with managers at all levels and staff members across the organization, in addition to members of external organizations, donors, and the public.
Technical / Professional Requirements & Qualifications
- Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in supporting a fundraising operation (working in a supporting role across annual giving, major and planned gifts experience) or working in a nonprofit research or data entry role, or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and/or special skills.
- Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, database such as Tessitura or equivalent CRM are required.
- Requires organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks. Requires adaptability to produce and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-task and changing environment, and the ability to work as part of a team. Must be comfortable taking on projects independently and deliver by assigned deadlines. Must be comfortable working and collaborating with a broad cross-section of people in direct matrixed relationships.

Position Conditions
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
- Schedule Availability: Monday through Friday, occasional nights and weekends as needed, particularly for events.

Compensation
Range for this position is $25.18 - $30.77 (hourly).
