JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and manage the execution of communication and stewardship strategies and efforts of the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation. Responsible for producing and/or editing material for marketing, communications and stewardship purposes including but not limited to brochures, fliers, patient stories, employee communications, fact sheets, boilerplates, bios, and web and. social media content. This position will help to strengthen and develop interactions between donors and the Foundation as well as system-wide partners. This position will need to work with a high degree of independence, and juggle various projects at once, while maintaining a clear view of how each project supports the organization’s mission. Strong writing and communication skills are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and implements messaging for donor engagement and fundraising strategies for current and prospective donors based on input from gift officer team.
2. Works with foundation leadership to identify marketing and communications needs and goals, and consults/advises internal partners on effective methods to reach those goals while supporting the strategic plans and direction of foundation initiatives.
3. Executes marketing and communication programs to drive donations and build non-profit awareness in Piedmont communities.
4. Collaborates with Piedmont Marketing creative team to develop on-brand standard content for service line cases for support and strategic fundraising initiatives.
5. Collaborates with philanthropy team members, system, service line and local entity leadership to prepare compelling donor opportunities and cases for support aligning with system and local strategic plans and operating goals.
6. Conducts and provides analysis of efforts to optimize and to determine effectiveness of all marketing and communications related to fund-raising.
7. Plans, develops, and supervises the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing campaigns, collateral materials, digital media, including identifying the needs of entity partners while developing and managing recommendations from creation, to development, to execution.
8. Working with foundation leadership and fund-raising and stewardship teams, produces and shares timely and regular communications to donors, detailing the overall impact of philanthropic support across Piedmont Healthcare.
9. Creates opportunities for meaningful donor recognition and engagement, ranging from messages that are automated, to working with the foundation events and stewardship teams to create concierge events and creative named space signage.
10. Supports the production of the annual report and quarterly donor newsletters.
11. Upholds the image of Piedmont Healthcare by utilizing AP style and Piedmont editorial guidelines.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or other related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of experience in communications, marketing, advertising or branding.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in healthcare preferred.
Must have experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT database.
