MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Health Care Administration or a closely related field required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1-3 years of experience in not-for-profit fund-raising or related field.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in healthcare preferred.

This position represents an opportunity to join the lead development team for the entire Piedmont Healthcare System. This team provides a pathway for private support solutions to all philanthropy needs and strategic growth in Atlanta, as well as the other 12 Atlanta-hub hospitals in the system. The qualified candidate will have the requisite skills, both direct and or transferable to help our fund-raising efforts, tell the Piedmont story and ensure long-term stewardship of the relationships that will provide the support for the system’s future growth.
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting sustainable cultivation and solicitation strategies of the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation. This position will drive donor acquisition efforts and lead cultivation and solicitation efforts from newly identified prospects. This role will engage with system service line and local entities partners to create and execute strategies for philanthropy across the full spectrum of the donor pipeline. Supports outreach efforts for vendor support for capital, operational and event support in their assigned areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Act as the foundation liaison for assigned areas and entities, which includes being a primary point of contact for leadership/internal partners assisting in creating fund-raising strategies and case for support documents, and providing coordination of additional Foundation staff and resources as needed.
2. Prepares written proposals, corporate grant requests, gift agreements, cases for support, and other materials for prospect development and solicitation.
3. Effectively utilizes Raiser’s Edge to maintain records of contacts with all donors and prospects; leverage research materials to strategically cultivate potential donors to track, evaluate and present relevant giving results to reporting partners.
4. Manage an active portfolio of individual, corporate and foundation prospects and donors, with agreed upon metrics with an emphasis on donor identification, retention and acquisition.
5. Develops an annual plan with measurable goals that includes strategies for new donor identification, current prospect cultivation and solicitation, and stewardship of past donors with an emphasis on new donor identification and acquisition.
6. Create and implement specific strategic efforts for the purpose of cultivating greater engagement between donors and Piedmont.
7. Collaborates closely with Foundation staff, board members, system, service line and local entity partners, and community volunteers on fundraising initiatives.
