Evangelical Charity Coordinator
Christ the Redeemer Church, Lake Orion, Michigan
Job Title: Evangelical Charity Coordinator (part time, 15-19 hours per week)
Job Summary: In accordance with our parish goals and objectives, as well as our Baptismal Call to serve, the Christian Service Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, managing and training over 1,300 volunteers for approximately 27 programs/ministries.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work as a team member, lead volunteers and collaborate with other staff
Proven experience in managing multiple projects at once with attention to detail
Proficient in MS applications (i.e. Word, Publisher, Excel, Power Point).
Ability to work flexible hours
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Additional Duties as required.
Work with the Service Commission to coordinate outreach for the parish including the following programs: Giving Tree, Easter Baskets, Blood Drives and monthly “Not Your Ordinary Monthly Drives”.
Co-Coordinate the following programs/events. This includes planning, scheduling, and implementing each program within budget constraints. In addition, provide training to volunteers as needed for the following:
Monthly meal at Hope Warming Center
Monthly Blood Pressure Checks
Projects with Love INC, Catholic Community Response Team and Habitat for Humanity
Coordinate with Love INC - financial assistance for Lake Orion/Oxford residents with rent and/or utilities.
Weekly Operation Cookie Drop
Funeral Luncheons
Adopt a family programs for Easter and Thanksgiving
Annual Projects:
Grieving with Great Hope Workshop
All Soul’s Evening of Remembrance
Christmas Marketplace
St. Nicholas Project
Parish Picnic
Chili Cook Off Event
Co-Coordinate Parish Hospitality, including the following:
Ordering and Purchasing Pantry Supplies
Lenten Soup Suppers
St. Nicholas Project Dinner
Other parish events
Co-Coordinate the recruitment, training and support for the volunteers that provide services for the following ministries:
Coffee & Donut Ministry
Service Commission Members
Evaluate each program post project to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
Develop, justify and adhere to an annual budget for all Evangelical Charity Programs
