Description

The Self-Direction Coordinator will report to the Director of Self-Direction. The Self-Direction Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance of the fiscal intermediary program.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Ensure the Implementation of the Fiscal Intermediary program.
Provide ongoing compliance tasks on assigned caseload.
Review FI tasks monthly and identify appropriate monthly billing.
Attend Bi-Annual and Annual Life Planning meetings; attend Circle of Support and other meetings as appropriate and/or needed.
Provide support to participants and designee with determining valid reimbursement activities and documentation.
Review, approve and/or deny monthly invoices from participants &/or designee.
Address spending and compliance issues with participant and/or designee, broker, provider, care manager and any other pertinent team member.
Address issues with self-direction staff pertaining to agency requirements i.e. clocking in/out; timesheets & documentation records in conjunction with the Human Resources.
Report any issues or concerns of the fiscal intermediary to the Director of Self-Direction.
Complete 12 hours of annual training
Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or Higher preferred in the Health & Human Services field
Prior experience assisting persons with IDD/Autism preferred
Excellent communication and written skills
Ability to make decisions based on the regulations of the Fiscal Intermediary program
Valid NYS Drivers License
Salary start at $45,500 and commensurate with experience
