ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY - MANAGER, SYSTEM ADOPTION
For the last ten years, Medha has delivered a unique experiential learning program to young people.
Based on the Four Cs of 21st-century skills – communications, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking – the program aims to prepare young people to start and excel in the diverse career paths of their choice.
Constantly upgraded and enhanced, the program has evolved significantly over the last decade, along with changing student and market demands. As we look to the future of learning and work, we are doubling down on the program's transformative impact on young people's lives.
Medha has a vision of an India with equal career opportunities for youth, irrespective of gender, class, or caste. We believe the most effective way to get 150 million young people into rewarding careers is by collaborating with the government education system. From day one, we chose to exclusively work at existing vocational, technical, and higher education institutions and integrate our programming and approach into the system.

You will work with a team of professionals equally driven by Medha's mission and vision.
What you will do:
This position requires you to excel in several different domains. Some of the main areas of work include:
Improving Enrollments in polytechnics
- Implement campaigns focused on increasing enrolments along with the department.
- Support the colleges to liaison with schools in their district to conduct promotional events as per the guidelines issued by the department.
- Support the district level committees in effective implementation and reporting of guidelines issued by the department.
Infrastructure benchmarking
- Identify schemes and opportunities for upgrading infrastructure facilities of your assigned colleges.
- Support the college to liaison with industry partners for improvement of infrastructure
- Support college to manage and report the data effectively.
Instruction, Teaching & Learning
- Support college in implementation and reporting of M&E frameworks issued by the department.
- Facilitate capacity building sessions based on curriculum/module co-created with department.
- Establish regular cadence of meetings and classroom observation in allotted colleges with all data on track.
Project Planning and Implementation
- Assist the Program Lead in designing the project plan by providing inputs from the field on all the areas of intervention.
- Implement activities designed under each area of intervention in coordination with the stakeholders at cluster level.
- Raise red flags if any at the earliest with the Program Lead.
Build & nurture government relationships
- Work closely with Joint Directors, College Principals, TCPOs, and faculties across allotted districts to align with the project goals and assist them with paperwork, presentations, and documentation for effective project implementation.
- Maintain alignment between project goals and college plan of action.
Create opportunities for new interventions and create buy-in
- Proactively engage with college officials and industry partners to identify the upcoming challenges, new schemes, government orders, and any changes that will impact the project positively or negatively in the future.
- Work closely with the project team to have a solid plan to mitigate the risk or devise a new intervention.
- Be open to new ideas and suggestions for designing new projects/programs aligned with Medha's vision for the college
- Support in signing MoUs for College with multiple industries and placement partners.
Effectively coordinate with Internal project teams and senior leadership
- Seamless communication with the Project manager is essential
- Any red flags need to be raised immediately with the senior leadership.
What your day might look like:
While no two days are the same, some may look like this:
- You engage in team huddle meetings with team members to discuss enrolment campaign.
- You brainstorm with internal & external stakeholders on state ranking framework
- You finish working on an update PPT deck to present to the Director Technical Education for monthly steering committee meeting.
- You have a call with training and placement officers and Medha’s ToT head to understand their capacity building needs and availability.
- You hold an internal meeting with the project lead and senior leadership to brainstorm solutions to a challenge that has cropped up around getting data from the department in a timely manner.
- Your meet the college Principals, TCPOs and Joint Director to seek their permission to rollout specific project components.
- You assist the college in conducting trainings and placement drives.

Someone who identifies with our mission and vision and has the knack for establishing partnerships, onboarding employers, government relationship management, and passion for impact writing. The ideal candidate has the following capabilities:
- Ambitious, energetic, innovative, and hard-working professional committed to better prepare youth for life after school. Must have a sense of urgency and development.
- Graduate degree in education / social sciences / public policy / social work, or relevant fields.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience within the education sector, especially in implementing education programmes in partnership with government at the state or district level. Working Experience of UP will be preferred.
- Innovative, solution-oriented, and hard-working professional
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Empathize with diverse stakeholder needs and bridge different styles of working.
- Good understanding of adult learning principles, cultural differences in learning, change management and systems thinking. Experience of behaviour change and/or design thinking will be preferred.
- Strong data management, writing, presentation, and social media management skills.
- Analytical, articulate and well versed in education policy and practice to communicate effectively and succinctly the impact of the programme to a wider audience.
- Conversant with emerging technologies in the education and development sector
- Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize. Needs to be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills and should be ready to deliver at par.
- Must be willing to travel extensively within UP, both in rural and urban areas.
