About You:
An experienced research analyst and technical writer looking to report on cutting-edge and emerging technologies for the U.S. Space Systems Command. You will be part of an elite team planning for future space domain operations and will collaborate with customers on accelerating technology innovation. Enjoy building connections between AFRL scientists, academia, industry, and warfighters. Work hand-in-hand with a team of analysts, marketing/communications staff, and event coordinators to implement new technology transfers approaches and enhance ties across the S&T ecosystem.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with Government customers to frame objectives for technology transition and transfer, technology forecasting, and S&T strategy development
- Research diverse technology fields as needed and ensure the use of correct technical terminology
- Capture key discussion themes related to emerging technologies and science during ideation sessions and meetings
- Write technical reports on subjects, themes, and key points of discussion from ideation sessions and meetings. Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
- Compile findings and insights from the event into a post-event report or out brief for leadership
- Serve as lead technical editor on analytic products related to technology and science that are produced in a team format.
- Contribute written content to publicly releasable marketing materials on technologies, science, and customer-supported initiatives.
- Bachelor�s degree in a related field and 2-5 years of relevant work experience (education can be substituted for years of experience)
- Previous experience with the scientific and technical community, either in industry, academia, or government
- Skilled in communications and networking
Desired Education, Certification, Skills, Capabilities:
- Previous experience with a government laboratory
- Previous experience with DoD acquisitions and familiarity with acquisition instruments including SBIR/STTR, BAAs, IDIQs, and various Grants and Cooperative Agreements Experience with T2/T3 instruments such as Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Educational Partnership Agreements (EPAs), Information Technology Agreement (ITA), Invention Disclosures, Patent Applications, and Collaborative Technology Alliance
- Previous experience with DoD or industry space-domain projects
Primary Work Location: Work is to be performed in Colorado Springs, CO with remote work flexibility under the Hybrid Work & Telecommuting Policy.
Special Work Conditions:
- Possible travel to other CONUS locations (limited)
