An established and independent food fund, dedicated to serving Jewish communities by ensuring access to nutritional food is seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity and would suit someone with experience in fundraising for NPOs.
You'll play a crucial role in managing and developing relationships with stakeholders involved in the non-profit food fund. The primary focus will be on fostering partnerships with donors, partner organisations, and community members to support the mission and objectives of the organisation. In summary, you'll be responsible for cultivating long-term relationships, coordinating fundraising efforts, and ensuring effective communication among all parties involved.
Responsibilities:
Relationship Development:
Build and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors, community leaders, and partner organisations.
Identify, engage, and cultivate potential new donors and partners to expand the reach and impact of the food fund
Establish rapport and trust with stakeholders to enhance their involvement and commitment to the organisation's goals.
Fundraising Coordination:
Develop and implement strategies to secure financial contributions, sponsorships, and grants from various sources.
Collaborate with the fundraising team to design and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
Monitor and track donation progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to donors.
Donor Stewardship:
Provide personalised and responsive stewardship to donors, including acknowledgement of contributions, regular updates on fund activities, and recognition of their support.
Develop and implement donor retention strategies to ensure continued engagement and involvement.
Seek opportunities to engage donors in the mission and activities of the food fund through volunteer opportunities, events, and programmes.
Community Engagement:
Engage with the local community through outreach, presentations, and participation in community events.
Represent the organisation and promote its mission to various audiences, including individuals, community organisations, and businesses.
Identify opportunities for community collaboration, resource sharing, and programme enhancement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as non-profit management, social work, or communications) or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in relationship management, fundraising, or community engagement roles within the non-profit sector
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and connect with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, while being sensitive to cultural and community dynamics
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of the community and familiarity with its customs, practices, and values is desirable
- Proficient in using relevant software applications and databases for tracking donor information and generating reports
- Genuine interest in making a difference in the lives of the less privileged
