Overview:
The CDC Foundation is seeking a COVID-19 Vaccine Program Coordination Manager who will lead a team of staff who work closely with many diverse immunization partners to ensure Nevadans with underlying health conditions and communities most at-risk for COVID-19 have access to the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 Vaccine Program Coordination manager will lead a team of staff who work with each county to ensure all Nevadans have access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a health science, behavioral science or closely related field applicable to the program area.
•Two years of health-related experience which included researching, collecting, and analyzing data and statistics, developing objectives, protocols, and procedures, providing health education services to target groups or the general public, and/or investigation and prevention of communicable or chronic diseases
•OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities:
•Coordinate and conduct COVID-19 pandemic vaccine planning activities
•Oversee and assist in the management of federal grants and budgets
•Manage specific projects related to the COVID-19 vaccine response efforts, including contracts, subgrants and other agreements
•Engage with numerous partners at the state and local level
•Lead/manage a team
•Provide general direction and oversight for the program activities in the COVID-19 Vaccine Unit of the Nevada State Immunization Program; and,
•Manage systems or processes

This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, in order to best support the State of Nevada in their public health programming.
This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as a component of the job responsibilities and duties.
