About the Business Analyst, HCM Role
The Business Analyst, HCM is an enthusiastic individual contributor who partners with Material HCM stakeholders (e.g., HR Partners, HR Operations, Management Reporting, and Talent, Learning and Development functions) to support Material’s HCM technology needs, and act as Material IT’s support arm for core HCM to serve their day-to-day operations within Workday HCM. They appreciate nuance, but fight complexity, motivated by the satisfaction of faster, more reliable outcomes for Material’s HCM teams, leaders, and end-users. They are energized by exposure to the full gamut of Enterprise Applications, translating business needs into reliable & secure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation to support training, knowledge transfers and change management procedures utilizing SDLC practices.
- Participate in biweekly sprints utilizing agile methodology to gather requirements for fit and purpose.
- Participate in running Sprint calls and Sprint and Backlog JIRA Tickets maintenance.
- Participate in scheduled and ad-hoc training and UAT to improve deliverables and processes acumen.
- Collaborate across the business to understand requirements, process improvements and gaps from key HCM stakeholders.’
- Become the front facing role of IT Enterprise Applications, HCM for gathering business requirements and interacting with different stakeholders.
- Contribute to solution design of Workday HCM.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, HCM, or information systems
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience with JIRA for running biweekly sprints and with Confluence for maintaining documentation.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with Global stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of HCM related concepts and data analysis.
- Exposure to Workday HCM or any other HCM ERP is highly preferred.
