EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A Master's or Doctoral degree social behavioral field is required: Marriage & Family Counseling; Counseling Psychology; Clinical Psychology; Clinical Counseling; Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling; Social Work with an emphasis on Clinical Social Work.
Must either be currently registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern; Associate Clinical Social Worker or registered with the Board of Psychology (BOP). IMFT, ASW, Registered with the BOP.
CREDENTIALS: Community First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, 5150/5585 certificate, Medi-Cal Documentation training required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have good working understanding of child and adolescent development, behavior management and family dynamics. Must have aptitude to deal with severely emotionally disturbed children/adolescents in a variety of settings. Ability to use various computer software. Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
