Director of Innovation & Growth Overview:
The Director of Innovation and Growth is a key leadership role responsible for driving the innovation agenda for the organization. Working closely with the Sr. Leadership, this individual will be responsible for identifying and implementing new approaches, technologies, and programs that will improve the organization's ability to serve its clients and achieve its mission. The Director of Innovation and Growth continually reinforces, brings focus and discipline to the ideation and innovation process as well as translating improvements throughout the organization to drive decision-making that creates sustainable organizational growth. Overall, the Director of Innovation and Growth contributes to the Canopy Children’s Solutions high performance and ideation culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that keep Canopy as the premier provider of innovative child and family solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Continually position, and reposition, the organization to grow and lead in behavioral health, education, and social service solutions.
- Architect, mature, and execute the organization’s Innovation Strategy, supporting business development and growth that is aligned with the organization's mission and goals, specifically focusing on improving the delivery of behavioral health, education, and social services.
- Oversee and guide innovation life-cycle.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize new innovation opportunities and develop plans to bring them to fruition.
- Liaise with core business functions to support innovation and potential partnerships
- Evaluate ideas against criteria and determine prioritization of ideas with input of Advisory Committee
- Identify and leverage external partnerships to advance the organization's innovation efforts.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new technologies and programs, including piloting and scaling successful initiatives, with a focus on improving the delivery of behavioral health, education, and social services.
- Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making and measure the impact of innovation efforts.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of innovation professionals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment of innovation efforts with overall organizational strategy.
- Facilitate an organizational culture of ideation.
- Lead and oversee the structure and process of collecting and evaluating ideas.
- Work with the Director of Measurement, Learning and Evaluation on innovation activities identified through the Quality Management and Program Evaluation processes.
- Work with the PMO Director to track and manage innovation activities.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, technology, or healthcare. Master's preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role, with a track record of driving innovation in a complex organization.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in the healthcare industry, and specifically in behavioral health, is a plus.

Willingness to travel as needed.
