STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Under the supervision of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Director, the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Director oversees administrative, operational, and supervision activities for the 24-Hour Mobile Crisis Management team. The Mobile Crisis Management team provides integrated psychiatric and substance abuse crisis response, crisis stabilization, and crisis prevention activities and is staffed 24-hours-a-day, 365 days a year. Specifically, the crisis response team provides timely evaluation, triage, and access to acute mental health, developmental disability, and/or substance abuse services. Additionally, they provide harm reduction treatment and referrals to appropriate crisis stabilization and detoxification support/services. These services include immediate telephone response to assess the crisis and determine the risk, mental status, medical stability, and appropriate response.
• Provide overall operational management of the 24/7 Mobile Crisis Management team to include staffing oversight, delivery of services, and continuity of care for receipts.
• Ensure compliance with state, agency, grantor, and local standards and policies, including SAMHSA’s CCBHC criteria related to MCT services.
• Ensure clinical standards and procedures, including authorizations and compliance are in place to maximize access to care and ensure quality services are provided.
• Assure that program goals, objectives and the Agency Mission are understood, fostered, and supported throughout the team.
• Facilitate cooperation and rapid response to service requests related to identified parish and community needs.
• Involvement in the RFP process, CQI initiatives, and other grant initiatives as needed.
• Awareness, preparation for, and participation in internal and external audits.
• Participate in the development of the Corrective Action Plans related to audit and/or Quality Assurance activities – including implementation of the Corrective Action Plan at the program level.
• Assist the CCBHC Director in community liaison and outreach activities and when applicable, represents and presents at community functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s of Social Work (MSW) Degree from an accredited college or university.
• NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• 3-years’ experience providing crisis management services in a clinic, hospital, or crisis support setting.
• 2-years of supervisory experience in the field of mental health or social services.
• Prior experience overseeing programming and operations.
• Ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations.
• Must possess skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking a plus but not required.
