The Resource Development Specialist is accountable for leading relationships, ensuring stewardship of
organizational resources, and supporting the United Way of Greater Charlotte mission to end poverty
and advance equitable outcomes. As a member of the Resource Development team, and reporting to the
Director of Data Strategy and Reporting, the Resource Development Specialist position plays a critical
role in all United Way's fundraising work through data generation, analysis for assigned projects and
supporting Resource Development Staff as outlined below. This individual is a highly organized strategic
thinker, technology proficient with excellent writing skills and impeccable attention to detail.
Accountability and Responsibilities
- Organizes and analyzes data for projects as assigned by the Director of Data Strategy and Reporting
- Implements, tracks and supports Resource Development Team to ensure all online pledge form campaigns are accurately executed and submitted for processing in a timely manner, including submission of OLPF credit card donor information to Finance
- Assists Director of Data Strategy and Reporting with ePledge and OLPF duplicate account tracking and cleanup
- Supports Resource Development Team with all aspects of ePledge workplace campaigns
- Collaborates with Resource Development Leadership & Marketing Team to oversee and execute automated workplace campaigns
- Downloads daily revenue information from banking/payment websites and prepares for delivery to Finance Team
- Manages the Resource Development invoice process to include producing, tracking, reconciling and collections
- Actively represents Resource Development Team in keeping Andar data clean and participates in Andar Power Users Group meetings and projects
- Develops, maintains and manages local United Way, third party processor and other data needed to capture and record pledge activity from Workplace Campaigns outside of United Way of Greater Charlotte
- Provides support to Regional Development Directors and Vice President of Resource Development
- Backup for ensuring that individual participant data for large scope, public facing engagement efforts are captured and accurately recorded in Andar Database System
- Converts all paper pledge form campaigns into established spreadsheet format before submission for processing
- Tracks all returned Direct Mail and/or returned thank you cards; update Andar Database as needed with updated contact information and re-send of relevant snail mail items
o Responsible for learning and mastering the Andar Plans module as needed
- Proactively learns and grows professionally through various avenues, but not limited to: online courses, in-person classes, seminars, conferences, books, etc.
- Prepares materials for and executes automated workplace campaigns
- Serves as a proactive and contributing member to the United Way of Greater Charlotte team, performing duties and providing support outside of the functions listed above.
