We are currently in search of a Development Assistant for a Social Service Agency. This position is based in Chicago- Hinsdale, IL. This is a Full-Time, In-Person, Temporary to Permanent opportunity.
POSITION TITLE: Development Assistant
LOCATION: Chicago- Hinsdale, IL
SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week (In-Office)
DURATION: Temp to Perm
HOURLY RATE: $24.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the development team with a wide range of functions including database management, gift entry, donor correspondence, event support, and overall fundraising efforts. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate, with an anticipated salary of $52,000.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 2+ years experience in fundraising/development support
· Experienced in Donor Perfect
· Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
· Bachelor’s Degree
· COVID-19 vaccination required
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Gift Entry, Donor Correspondence and Administration (approximately 50% of time)
· Process and enter financial donations and special event purchases into Donor Perfect.
· Prepare acknowledgment letters for gifts pledged, gifts received, tickets purchased, etc.
· Arrange and send mementos to donors and/or prospects.
· Monitor and organize department supplies for donor mailings and events.
Database Management (approximately 32% of time)
· Ensure integrity of database and mailing lists for communications, marketing, and fundraising.
· Generate reports and provide analysis on progress to fundraising goals.
· Work with the Director to reconcile Donor Perfect and QuickBooks.
· Support Director of Finance with preparing reports for annual audit and 990 documentation.
Event Support (approximately 15%)
· Prepare and execute mail merges for event sponsorships.
· Prepare donation files and regular imports from external databases (e.g. Qgiv) into Donor Perfect.
· Provide administrative support for events.
Major Gifts, Foundation, Corporate and Grant Support (3%)
· Support Directors with individual donor research and maintain files/records.
· Assist with gathering data for grant proposals and help prepare reports.
· Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
