Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) employees with their technology needs. This includes assisting employees from technical onboarding to troubleshooting the unexpected challenges they may face with technology day-to-day. In addition, this position will get hands on experience taking recurring business processes and working with business leaders to automate processes, thus helping to create additional efficiencies and effectiveness organization wide.
Job Responsibilities
- Setting up hardware and access for new employees.
- Resetting hardware and removing access when an employee exits the company.
- Troubleshoot problems with hardware and common applications. Work with external software and hardware vendors to resolve issues.
- Update and maintain DSF’s IT equipment inventory. Order new equipment when needed.
- Understand and maintain the footprint of existing business applications, disseminating information to staff on upcoming changes on the IT roadmap.
- Troubleshoot incoming IT support tickets documenting what was done to resolve issues along the way.
- Document common issues and the steps taken to troubleshoot those issues.
- Understand business processes, workflows, and how business applications are used by departments.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and upholding technology policies.
- Collect and inventory remote staff equipment once per year at the end of the school year.
- Work with department leaders to distribute hardware to remote locations at the beginning of the academic year.
- Visit Denver scholarship Future centers within 15 DPS locations and 3 Auraria Campus locations and assess hardware needs of staff once per semester.
Required Skills and Abilities

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to document detailed notes and keep track of various hardware.
- Demonstrated success providing customer-focused technical support to end users.
- Ability to triage and prioritize support requests and ongoing maintenance.
- Good time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn on the job.
- Ability to work independently on tasks and projects with guidance and support from IT Director
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to communicate technical information and ideas in easy-to-understand language both written and verbally.
- Comfortable upholding technology and security policies
- Creative and innovative approach to applying technology to business problems.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or business equivalent or commensurate training and work experience in information technology.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 application suite, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Bookings, and other apps
- Two to five years of experience preferred in business application support.
- Experience training staff on new applications and systems
- Salesforce experience a plus
- Experience with Windows-based operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware.
- Understanding of cyber security risk mitigation
- Experience working in Jira or a similar ticketing system.
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000 to $69,000
