Responsibilities
•Design and deliver data
science curriculum covering Python programming, statistics, data analysis, data
visualization, and machine learning fundamentals
•Adapt training materials to
the Tanzanian context, using local and open-source datasets and relatable
examples from East Africa and the Global South
•Facilitate hybrid in-person
and online training sessions, averaging 11 hours per week over 23 weeks
•Support participants
through capstone project development, applying data science skills to
real-world problems in Tanzania
•Deliver career development
sessions including CV writing, LinkedIn profile building, and interview
preparation
•Contribute to curriculum
documentation and open educational resources hosted on digital learning
platforms
•Participate in participant
selection, onboarding, and post-bootcamp follow-up activities
Requirements
Knowledege and Experience
•University degree in data
science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
•Minimum 5 years of
experience in ICT or digital skills training
•Minimum 3 years of
experience designing and delivering data science training programmes
•Demonstrated knowledge of
AI and data science skills required by industry
•Knowledge of AI ethics,
data protection, data feminism, and responsible data practices
•Experience with digital
learning platforms such as Moodle, atingi, or equivalent LMS
•Experience training women
and marginalized communities is a strong advantage
•Fluent in English and
Swahili
