Position Title: Epidemiologist
Location: Onsite (Puerto Rico)

Salary: $72,000.00 annually plus benefits (Exempt)
Overview:
The CDC Foundation is seeking a qualified applicant to join the Puerto Rico Department of Health. The applicant will collaborate and work with a wide range of PRDOH programs to address COVID-19 health disparities among high-risk and underserved populations, including racial and ethnic minorities and rural communities. The candidate should demonstrate a willingness to seek novel solutions to advance health equity.
Qualifications:
•Master’s in Epidemiology MS or Master’s in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology.
•Experience handling databases.
•Minimum one year experience as an epidemiologist.
Responsibilities:
•Evaluates, plans, and performs epidemiologic studies, to better surveillance systems and disease control.
•Advice in the design and methodology of epidemiologic investigations, revising studies, reports, health statistics, demographic information and other identifying factors, sources and epidemiologic tendencies.
•Collaborates on the development of trimestral and end of year reports.
•Takes part in the development of questionaries, surveys, graphs, maps, databases and work plans required by the grant.
•Takes part in calls and conferences with the CDC to develop progress reports.
•Develops, organizes, analyses, and evaluates primary and secondary databases.
•Takes part in training about health equity, social health deterrents and health disparities as required by the grant.
•Designs and implements systems for the procedure of epidemiologic data.
•Designs and presents the results of all the epidemiologic analysis that have taken place.
