Stanford Graduate School of Business has built a global reputation based on its immersive and innovative management programs. We provide students a transformative leadership experience, push the boundaries of knowledge with faculty research, and offer a portfolio of entrepreneurial and non-degree programs that deliver global impact like no other. We strive to change lives, change organizations, and change the world.
Based in the GSB, the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) educates insightful leaders for social and environmental change. The center prepares GSB students to apply their management and leadership skills to solve the world’s toughest problems through courses and extra-curricular programs that promote understanding of deeply entrenched social issues, teach the skills needed to address them, inspire a life of action, build community, and reduce the financial burdens of pursuing impact careers. Housed in CSI and led by Professor Brian S. Lowery, the Leadership for Society Program (L4S) provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the most pressing societal issues of today and grow the cultural intelligence necessary to foster open and productive dialog across wide-ranging world views. Its north star is to enable students to be more useful humans.
We are now seeking a Program Manager to support the Leadership for Society Program. The Program Manager will work as part of the CSI team to ensure that GSB students, speakers, and external participants enjoy a high-quality, well-run educational program. The Program Manager will support all areas of the L4S program in a variety of programmatic, communications, and operational tasks including: event planning, researching speakers and themes, logistics, and publicity of L4S programs, courses, and events, including the annual Daring Dialogues conversations series. The successful candidate will be excited to learn and collaborate as part of a driven, diverse team. They will be relentlessly curious and demonstrate positive stakeholder engagement, project management, attention to detail, keen analytical skills, data analysis experience, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. People who make the most of this opportunity will have a good understanding of topical and future issues leaders will face, knowledge of different stakeholder groups and the channels and messages that resonate with them. They will thrive in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment, be effective working both independently and collaboratively, and bring a growth and learning mindset to obstacles and challenges.
This hybrid position will be based on Stanford’s main campus. Due to the nature of the L4S program, this position must be available to work onsite occasional evenings and weekends for programmatic events.
