Job Summary:
The Site Director will be responsible for oversight, direction, goal attainment, and supervision of internal and external functions of all site-based programs including Food Service, Community Outreach and Activities. Provides strong managerial and administrative oversight to ensure successful performance-based programs. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality services and efficiency of programming, while fostering teamwork among staff across the diverse programming at our main campus. It includes collaborating with community partners, such as the local CoC, the County of San Diego, and the VA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the leadership, management and budgetary oversight of all programming, Food Service Operations, and Community Outreach and Activities.
• Oversee services and contracts with government and private funders for the program, ensuring compliance with all funding agreements.
- Accountable for meeting and/or exceeding performance and outcome measures established internally and by VVSD funders.
• In collaboration with senior leadership, develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems necessary to maintain high-quality programs and services, and to ensure adequate controls and outcomes information.
• Oversees the development of strategic and operational plans for future programmatic needs and community partnerships. Oversee all program budgets and physical forecasting, ensuring that all programs are adequately funded and allocated funds are spent appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for data integrity related to all programs/functions managed by the Senior Director
• Ensure program compliance which would lead to minimal audit findings.
• Works collaboratively with Senior Director, Clinical Services to develop a therapeutic community in accordance with VVSD’s mission, vision, and values.
- Provides ongoing feedback to direct reports and conducts quarterly/annual performance discussions to assess progress against goals and develop staff members to reach their full potential.
• Represent VVSD at outside functions and meetings, including meetings requested by local, state, and federal agencies.
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications:
• Master’s degree in social work, Public Administration, Non-profit Management or related field required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in program management, staff supervision, program development and budget management as it relates to the program.
• Experience working with veterans, homeless individuals, disabled individuals, and/or families in need and culturally diverse populations highly desired.
- Familiarization and experience working with VA, State, funding sources used to support homelessness programs preferred.
• General understanding of funding sources used to support homeless programs.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of individuals, including clients, all levels of staff, and community stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to include public speaking and ability to represent organization in the community.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-approach environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend and lift light objects.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while viewing a computer monitor.
