Job Description
The Data Governance & AI Lead is a new role in our organisation. With our entities gradually starting to do more work around data analytics, reporting and artificial intelligence, the purpose for this new role is to bring knowledge, set up and maintain central governance, ensure adherence to these standards in day-to-day practices, and acting as a sparring partner for Porticus, Laudes, Investment Office, and CPS (together called the Constanter Universe or CU) in everything data and AI. While ensuring minimal control and providing maximum room for our data and AI people to experiment, learn and grow.
Our Data Governance & AI Lead brings inspiration, likes a challenge, aims to learn, helps keeping things simple, works towards our shared goals, has an agile mindset, and has sufficient data, AI and ML knowledge to ask the right questions, review, and connect the dots.
Key responsibilities are:
Provide data architecture – Further our data architecture in alignment with enterprise architecture and other stakeholders.
Data governance – Define and maintain the data governance document for CU, work on CU-wide data awareness and set-up and provide trainings in this area, ensure adherence to data governance, chair data management squad.
Support data management and engineering – Act as an innovation consultant and provide support to our data specialists, owners and champions where applicable.
Guidelines for data reporting – Provide and promote adherence to data and AI/ML guidelines, help ensuring data integrity, act as a sparring partner for all business areas and reporting specialists.
Provide data protection and privacy – Ensure data security and access control, build on the first draft ROPA (Register of processing activities) in the organisation with all departments involved, coordinate data classification, assurance, and improvement of this ROPA in practice.
Act as data and AI/ML expert in projects and changes - Act as an expert in technology projects and changes, providing knowledge and advice.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
A bachelor's degree, for example in computer science or information management, or demonstrated ability to act on this level
A 5+ years relevant working experience in the information technology and data domain
Key competencies:
Basic project management and agile skills
Builds strong relationships, ensuring smooth collaboration
Knowledge of most of the following topics:
Data Governance and Metadata Management: Collibra, Alation
Data Quality and Profiling: Informatica Data Quality, Talend Data Quality
Data Integration and Engineering: Apache Spark, Talend, Informatica PowerCenter
Data Reporting and Visualization: Tableau, Power BI
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Python (with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch), Jupyter Notebooks for experimentation and documentation
Data Protection and Privacy: OneTrust for Privacy Management, Varonis for Data Security and Analytics
Azure Data: Data Factory, Synapse, SQL-DB, Power-BI, Logic Apps and Databricks
Cloud Services: Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure for cloud-based storage, computing, and AI services

- Offering a salary between €64.000 - €88.000 depending on experience
