Job Description
Firespring is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our shipping & fulfillment team. As an inventory specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our finished goods inventory, in addition to contributing to other teams as needed, allowing Firespring to maintain an impressive “right and on-time” delivery record. An optimistic attitude is a must for this position.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Verify quantity amounts have been properly received through internal systems
- Organize and maintain all physical inventory
- Accurately conduct and record monthly/quarterly physical inventories
- Travel to off-sight storage facilities to conduct inventories
- Report updated inventory results to proper departments
- Maintain communication with external vendors regarding inventory
- Updating internal systems and all necessary spreadsheets with correct inventory results
- Communicate with other departments regarding inventory needs
- Collect items for courier deliveries, as needed
- Maintain production floor integrity
- Assist in other departments as needed
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of related experience
- A knowledge of shipping processes and software
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jacks
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in information systems, encompassing both technological solutions and traditional paperwork
