Job Description
Firespring is seeking a motivated, organized individual to join our shipping department. This person would be responsible for helping the shipping manager with incoming and outgoing products and orders to ensure Firespring maintains an impressive “right and on-time” delivery record. An optimistic attitude is a must for this position.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Quality-check shipping, receiving, and fulfillment procedures.
- Communicate daily deliveries with our Lincoln production facility to synchronize operations seamlessly.
- Receive paper and supplies from vendors.
- Close out job tickets once packaged and delivered.
- Collaborate with account management and sales staff on a daily basis to address client needs and requirements.
- Assist with coordination of shipment of 25-30 daily orders via UPS/Spee-Dee, ensuring accurate and timely dispatch.
- Oversee inventory of 200-250 pallets, implementing efficient tracking and replenishment systems.
- Assist preparing deliveries of 150-200 jobs per week.
- Assist our drivers with loading/unloading trucks and quality check their deliveries.
- Ensure department goals are met or exceeded.
- Find a better way—create and implement procedures that improve quality, productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of prior shipping, receiving and/or fulfillment experience.
- A knowledge of shipping processes (USPS, UPS and FedEx) and software is preferred as the shipping and fulfillment specialist will be responsible for correctly creating and tracking orders through their designated systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jacks.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with vendor carriers and address client concerns.
- Proficiency in information systems, encompassing both technological solutions and traditional paperwork.
