Summary Description
The Payroll Associate will assist in the daily operations of the Ministry Accounting Services. This includes certain clerical duties as assigned. Expected hours are 25-28 hours per week; Monday -Thursday 9-4.
Reporting
The Payroll Associate reports to the Lead Accountant, Ministry Accounting Services and to the Vice President, Ministry Accounting Services.

Broad Job Responsibilities
- Process payroll functions of Ministry Accounting Services; e.g. process new hire paperwork for all client employees, verify tax payments and tax reporting, process payroll journal entries into accounting software, and itemize benefits and tax allowances for each employee
- Follow set standard operating procedures for all accounting services processing
- Document correspondence and scan mailings in appropriate WatersEdge software
- Engage the Vice President, Ministry Accounting Services regarding the progress, challenges, and success of the Program
Job Classifications and Requirements
- This is a full-time, nonexempt position.
- As a Christian organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Therefore, this position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist church (which is defined as a church which is cooperating with Oklahoma Baptists) or in a faith-aligned, evangelical church which declares the Bible as the foundation for its faith and practice.
