About
CHRI:
The project aims
to support the operationalization of the National Policy on Rare Diseases. CHRI
will be working closely with All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, by
providing technical assistance for the implementation of national policy on rare
diseases and supporting the Centre of Excellences (CoEs) and Nidan Kendras by
enhancing the current knowledge, capacities, services, and patient support for
rare diseases. The key activities under this project will include technical
assistance for strengthening systems, sensitization and capacity building of
CoEs, and optimizing the online crowdfunding platform for improving access to
treatment.”
Responsibilities
·Technical
and thought leadership in designing, planning, integrating, and supporting in implementation
of the National Policy for Rare Diseases in India
·Devise
strategies and support AIIMS to liaison with MoHFW, Dte.GHS and
other CoEs for
convergent efforts in strengthening services for rare diseases.
·Support
in developing guidelines and SoPs for screening, referral, and strengthening
treatment pathways.
·Support
in assessments of existing structures and development of sustainable solutions
as per the identified gaps
·Support
in ensuring effective reporting at the national level, and documentation of the
assigned project.
·Support
the team in coordinating the project management process internally within CHRI
& external stakeholders.
- Drive the project to achieve the program objectives.
- Provide technical and strategic inputs.
- Managerial oversight and monitoring of the program
- Assist in developing project strategy and work plan.
- Coordinate with partners, Centre of Excellence (CoE),
and donors for project coordination and reporting
- Represent the project work to the donors, central and state
officials, partners, civil society, and private sector stakeholders.
- Travel to project states/CoEs for monitoring and providing
technical inputs.
- Establish and maintain strong working partnerships with
all project partners and stakeholders.
- Undertake
other tasks which the CHRI/AIIMS/MoHFW/Dte.GHS may assign from time to time.
- Available
to travel to states up to 20-30% of the time.
- Preferably MBBS with post-graduation in Public Health/
Public Health management from a reputed university.
- At least 5-7 years of experience with at least 2 years of
leading a project/program.
- Self-starter and committed to performing their duties
with a high degree of autonomy and independence in line with project goals
and objectives.
- Prior experience of working with the ministry of
health, departments of health, academic institutions and in rare diseases
will be an added advantage.
- Technically proficient with ability and demonstrated
experience of developing operational guidelines, training packages etc.
- Proven record of developing and maintaining strong and
effective partnerships at the national or state level
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation
skills in English and Hindi
- Management skills, ability to create synergies, coordination
skills and interpersonal skills to fulfill the project's diverse technical
and managerial requirements.
- Professional experience working with international
donor organizations, civil society, and government organizations.
- Familiarity with the National Rare disease policy
