Position Summary

The Assistant Program Director/Program Manager, Home Study/Post Release Services (HS/PRS) is primarily responsible for the successful administration and management of duties across the case management lead staff within the Home Study and Post Release Services program. This individual is also responsible for overseeing and maintaining consistency with professional standards, contract regulations, and United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) expectations.

Annual Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $69,500.00

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

Performs ongoing supervision of case management activities.
Assists the Director in managing, directing, and leading the Regional Supervisor/Lead Case Manager and facilitates staff meetings.
Hires, on-boards, and trains staff effectively to ensure efficient operations.
Ensures staff provides services in compliance with United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policies and procedures.
Submits detailed and thorough documentation in compliance with USCCB and ORR policies and procedures.
Utilizes social work best practices for thorough assessments of child's progress and services provided.
Informs supervisor about trends, challenges, and successes in working with the population.
Participates in USCCB and ORR trainings on cultural competence, service provision, and USCCB and ORR policies and procedures.
Provides ongoing support to case management staff and ensures staff comply with USCCB, ORR, and state policies and procedures
Oversees quality documentation submission by staff, in compliance with USCCB and ORR policies and procedures.
Cultivates a positive, team centered work environment.
Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures for staff performance evaluations, conference/training requests, timekeeping, and reimbursement requests.
Assists in the development and maintenance of the program's operating manual.
Stays abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements for social services.
Drives for Agency business.
Performs other special assignments at supervisor’s request.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

At least three years of experience with child welfare programs.
Experience providing supervision to case managers and case management supervisors.
Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect families to community services.
Excellent clinical and crisis intervention skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Critical assessment and analysis skills.
Knowledge of and experience working with refugee or immigrant children preferred.
Cross-cultural or international experience preferred.
Demonstrates a history of and deep understanding of anti-racism work and activism.
Knowledge of the National Association of Social Work Code of Ethics and the NASW Standards for the practice of direct social work.
Knowledge of computer systems and related software (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Demonstrates an attitude of flexibility with staff.
Ability to have hard conversations with staff for accountability and growth purposes.
Ability to plan, supervise, review, and evaluate the work of supervisory and professional staff.
Ability to prepare analyze reports, make presentations, and maintain records.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
