Welcome to the Hearing and Speech Center of Florida, an 86 year old non for profit serving individuals with educational and disability/special needs. We are one of 45 Hearing and Speech Centers in the nation and focus on our mission to serve in rehabilitation/habilitation and educational needs.
We are a full service providers and offer our clients Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Educational and Behavior Therapy. We have a full practice for center based services, we operate our own school, and have community contracts throughout the county at various locations including schools, hospitals, and other nonprofit and federally funded programs so our clinicians are exposed to a variety of work expereinces.
We seek licensed BILINGUAL Speech Language Pathology assistants to work with our team in various settings for direct treatment to children and with proper support and supervision.
We are seeking help in our hospital contracts division as well as clinical setting and you will have strong mentorship and training.
We offer both full time and part time positions. Depending on hour committement, you can be hired as a consultant or employee with benefits. Our benefits include participation in the federal loan forgiveness program as we are a charity organization. The salary range will be dependent on acceptance of a full time position with paid 40 hrs and benefits; versus if you are only seeking part time.
S/he will provide quality, discipline-specific treatment to children with developmental delays, disabilities, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), etc. Various placement and learning options.
The grant program will introduce clinician to grants/data collection and tracking as well as reporting and working with statistical data in which we will train you.
Must partake in:
Completion of necessary documentation as needed (e.g., daily notes)
Participation in staff meetings pertaining to programs you serve.
Participation in at least 2 non for profit center events per fiscal year.
Optional paid participation: participation in educational and training programs in the community
Participation in grant(s)/ professional programming.
Participation in programmatic planning for summer programs
Speech language Pathology Assistant Department of Health State Licensure.
Bilingual Spanish/English a PLUS
Comfortable presenting and working with team members
