Job Summary<\/span><\/b>\-<\/span>â¯<\/span> <\/span>Responsible for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of children, seniors, staff and other passengers during bus transportation.<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/p>
Job Duties<\/span><\/b> <\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Drive gasoline, powered 25 passenger bus to transport students between neighborhoods, schools, school activities and programs.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintain the safe operating condition, fuel and cleanliness of the vehicle, immediately reporting any problems to the Director of Operations.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Follow strict time schedules when picking up and dropping off students at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Communicate with staff and parents to adjust route & schedule as necessary.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, and or fares received.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Follow driving and child safety rules.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Regulate heating, lighting and ventilation systems for passenger comfort; conduct pre and post event evaluations and report on outcomes.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Other duties as assigned.<\/span>

Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>A valid commercial driverâs license or chauffer license to operate a bus; clean driving record<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>High School diploma or equivalent<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>1\-3 years of driving experience; working for a childcare facility a plus<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Flexibility in working hours to accommodate organization needs<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ability to pass fingerprint clearance test<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Must be 21 years of age<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Hours: M\-F <\/span>7a to 4:30pm (1 hour lunch); or 8am to 5:30pm (1 hour lunch) <\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Pay: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly to start; competitive health insurance incentives and benefits<\/span>
