This role will be part of the core team that will lead and support the data transformation at GS1 Canada The primary focus of this role is to effectively govern and implement data and attributes vision and strategy at GS1 Canada. As a Product Data Analyst, you will get an opportunity to work with creative and passionate data thinkers of the organization. You will get exposure to attribution models and be part of the strategic and operational implementation of data transformation. The successful candidate will play a key role in our Data team, and execute a team-first approach where the deliverables and goals of the organization supersede the goals of each individual department, and so the successful candidate will be an advocate for teamwork, openness, inclusiveness and enterprise-goal driven management. Key Responsibilities
Work very closely with Product Data team in the implementation of the attribution strategy and data model Develop a deep understanding of the GS1 Canada business model, our services and applications and our unique industry governance model to build and enhance product attribution models to satisfy our subscriber data requirements in a manner that aligns to the industry needs
Become an organization expert in the area of subscriber product content and play a leadership role in educating and sharing this knowledge throughout the organization
Maintain the wiki and governance practices established for attributes, manage attribute related operational activities for effective collaboration across the organization
Actively perform attribute mapping, process and flow diagramming and mapping for the Enterprise wide Data Solutions
Be a key integral member of the team that owns and governs GS1 Product Data Management
Build and maintain the master list of challenges and tasks identified from various pipelines and enable discussion and review for prioritization
Coordinate attribute related inquiries internally and act as a point of contact for any data management information across the organization
Become subject matter expert on everything attributes at GS1 Canada effectively working with Standards, Product and IT teams in the delivery of their initiatives
Participate in the data integration framework and implementation discussions with partners, subscribers and key stakeholders
Collaborate with business analysis teams and participate in the development and build of new solutions design
Work with stakeholders across the organization to provide product content data support on business initiatives
Have a continuous improvement mindset to learn and advance data and analytics capabilities across the organization
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

2-3 years related experience, with bachelors or master’s degree in computer science or data related fields

Previous experience in a data analytical role aligning with reporting, analysis, governance or data visualization using SQL, R, Python, Power BI or Tableau
Experience performing data mapping, process flow diagramming Expert command of spreadsheets and reporting tools
Experience with SQL; other programming and analytical tool exposure is an asset CRITICAL COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of data governance tools Strong attention to detail, with excellent organization and project management skills
