Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals with disabilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices to address identified challenges.
- Provide direct therapy interventions to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support teams to integrate speech pathology goals into holistic care plans.
- Offer communication support and education to individuals, families, and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement speech and language strategies in various settings.
- Advocate for the communication and swallowing needs of individuals with disabilities.
- Stay informed about current research and engage in ongoing professional development.

Your Profile of Excellence
- Field Experience: experience within the disability space, knowledge of the NDIS framework and relevant legislation.
- Distinguished Tertiary Qualifications: Degree in Speech Pathology.
- SPA Membership: valid Speech Pathology Australia Membership.
- Evidence-Based Innovator: Demonstrate ability in seamlessly integrating evidence-based frameworks, and developing comprehensive support systems that encompass the whole individual.
