About your new role:
Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the unique opportunity to enhance the well-being, comfort, and enjoyment of residents with a particular emphasis on providing a comfortable, clean, and homely environment. The role involves carrying out laundry and house cleaning tasks, as well as assisting with moving large items including furniture, beds and rubbish bins.
Duties:
- Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy.
- Replenishing supplies from the storeroom including receiving and storing goods
- Assist with moving large items around the site including rubbish bins and furniture
- Comply with infection control measures and food safety requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Schedule paperwork for each shift to be completed.
- Site common areas are included in tasks along with the resident rooms.
- Assistance with laundry tasks is a possibility.
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to complete a busy and physically demanding workload and respond to changing priorities
- A high level of comprehension and attention to detail
- Good time management skills
- Ability to engage residents through a person-centered approach to care and support
- Relates to the aged care population with empathy, understanding, and respect
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- Willingness to obtain or provide proof of Up-to-date Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccinations
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
