Position Summary<\/span><\/span><\/b>\- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is tasked with overseeing the centerâs financial operations, ensuring its financial health and long\-term sustainability.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>This role includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and compliance.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>The CFO will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to craft and execute financial strategies that align with and advance the centerâs mission and objectives.<\/span><\/span>

Financial Management<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
Develop and executive financial strategies that align with and promote the centerâs mission and objectives.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and other financial systems.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Prepare and deliver financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, offering analysis and recommendations as necessary.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory obligations, including tax filings, audits and other reporting requirements.<\/span><\/span>

Manage relationships with external partners, such as banks, auditors, and other financial service providers.<\/span><\/span>

Budgeting and Forecasting<\/span><\/span>

Lead and manage the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with program managers and other stakeholders to create realistic and attainable budgets.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Track actual performance against the budget, providing regular updates and analysis to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.<\/span><\/span>

Develop and maintain financial forecasting models that support long\-term financial planning and information decision\-making.<\/span><\/span>

Lead the Finance Committee, working with members to offer strategic financial guidance and support to the organization.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvements and professional growth.<\/span><\/span>

Work closely with other senior leaders to design and execute strategies that advance the organizationâs mission and objectives.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
<\/ul>Board Relations and Reporting<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
Report on the financial performance of the center to the Board of Directors, including regular updates on budget performance, forecasts, and financial risks and opportunities.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that align with the centerâs values and strategic goals.<\/span><\/span>

Represent the center internal and external events and meetings, providing financial guidance and support as needed.<\/span><\/span>

<\/ul> Tax Filing and Compliance<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
Ensure the center meets all tax filing and compliance requirements, maintaining adherence to relevant laws and regulations.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Manage relationships with external auditors and financial service providers to guarantee compliance with all reporting and regulatory standards.<\/span><\/span>

Qualifications<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/p>
Bachelor's degree in finance, Account, or a related field (master's degree or CPA preferred).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
7\-10 years of experience in financial management, including 3\-5 years in a senior leadership position within a non\-profit organization.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Deep understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, grant management, and compliance requirements.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting and analysis.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Dedication to the mission and values of the center.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
